Had any good beers lately?

Cheese scones?  Jeez,  don't we have enough of those?

But I haven't had a cheese scone in ages and it was something on my mind, lol. Haven't fulfilled it yet either.
But beer, went to the Caringorm Brewery the other day and picked up their Santa Sledgehammer .  Yummy, yummy, yummy.
Drinking homebrew too.   :D

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?  ;)

That I have lots of cravings for lots of strange food?  Or that I'm needing salt and iron and B12?  ;D

If there are folks who themselves or their partners are craving foods due to pregnancy, congratulations!

I think little beetle feet scuttle.  But, alas, I guess we won't get to find out.

Funnily enough, RE the beer chat, my mum just sent me an email that linked to an article about all the breweries and tap rooms that opened up in my state this year and asked me if this was going to be my goal in 2018 when I come to visit for Christmas haha. I told her I could do them with my eyes closed if she would be volunteering to chauffeur me around  ::)

Link for reference: https://www.bizjournals.com/boston/news/2017/12/07/here-are-all-of-the-new-breweries-that-opened-in.html

I've already got one ticked off the list.
My, how time flies....

Thanks to this article, I would really like a Jubilee Roll now.

I am still also craving their Peppermint Stick Ice Cream.

Ooh, I hate when I get reminded of something really tasty that I can't replicate in my own 'kitchen'.  That's a hard one, PB.  :(

No idea why, but this morning I woke up craving and Arby's French Dip sandwich and one of the quart-sized Tropical Passion Iced Teas from our ex-local tea emporium.  ???

Proper smoked streaky bacon, yes.... crispy. On white bread, with catsup.

But you can get smoked streaky bacon here...?  Is it not the same as the US stuff?  I don't eat much bacon, so I really don't know.  I just assumed it was the same.

It is not the same. It's not made from belly pork. It's a different cut of pork. And a lot of bacon here is wet cured and you get this nasty white milky fluid that renders out.

Odd.  I was never really into bacon in the US, so I don't know the ins and outs of it.  I wouldn't have noticed a difference, I think.
