So 3 people out of like 8 or so of us have heard back? I am thinking I will be one of the last ones to hear so I am just keeping tabs.

On another note, I had to reschedule my wedding reception. I have a a few friends flying into Belfast from my travels and from home here. It sucks that is so likely that I will have to miss them as I haven't seen some of them in years.

Guess what peeps, I got my visa in the mail today !!!!!!!

Good starting on June 6th 2017, so what does this mean ? It starts on June 30, also got a letter with it talking about the vignette is valid for 30 days so I have go in this month period right ? But after it's good until 2020 June 6?

You can enter the UK between June 6th and Early July (whatever 30 days is).  Then you gave 10 days to collect your BRP from the Post Office location you picked, which will be valid for 33 months from June 6th.

And congratulations!

Random question but if the viginette is for a week or so after a visa approval can you  enter in on a tourist visa for a week, then leave and come back when the vignette is valid?

It would be risky to try to do that, because to enter as a visitor you need to be able to show that you have no intention of living in the UK and that you have a home, a job and a life to go back to in the US.

And since you will have a settlement visa to move to the UK permanently which starts a week later, it would look odd for you to be visiting.

Why not just wait the week and use the time to enjoy your last few days in the US before you move?

Me either, fingers crossed for the rest of us. It has been a very long and stressful time. Thank you for all of the information and support throughout the chaos!
