Fiancee Visa from US(OH) to Nottingham Oct 2009

Hello, I'm new to this board today and have read what others have posted about getting married in the UK that are currently living in the US.

My situation is a bit different.  I'm previously widowed and have a minor child age 12 that will be coming with me after marriage to live in Nottingham.

Does anyone know if you must file at time of applying for a fiancee visa for a dependant child at the same time??

Should I consult a solictor?

My wedding will be in October 2009 in Nottingham, so, I'm freshly engaged and about to start the procedures to acquire a fiancee visa.
