I was wondering if you could help me. Me and my partner moved to the UK in late September, and received the EEA unmarried partner residency permit for 5 years, he's French I'm US. I am currently working - and he was just fired - 1 day away from the end of his probationary period. Besides being in shock - we now don't know what to do in terms of my rights here. How long before I lose my right to work ?
How is this verified? Do I have to tell my employer? How can I keep that right? How can I swtich to another category? Do I have a chance to do that if my income is currently 24 K, Masters Degree but didn't study in the UK? The border agency is not clear on all of this...so I'm turning to Forums.
Please help....
