Finally taking the plunge
« on: February 25, 2004, 05:00:31 AM »
Just wanted to pop by and say hi! (didn't mean for that to rhyme  :-*) My gf and I have decided to make the big leap and move to the UK. It's going to take about a year to get everything ready, but I want to get it right the first time. I'm really glad I found a place to come and learn.  :) Looking forward to talking to you all.

Hi Ozz...welcome to the fray. :)

Are you both American and moving over or is one of you British?  Making the decision is the first step to madness sometimes!  The move over is not an easy one but you'll find lots of support and great info here.

Welcome and hope to see you around lots more!  :)

Hi Ozz and welcome!  We too are just about to take the plunge (fingers crossed) though we already live in the USA together!

Hope to see/read you around!

Hiya Ozz.  Welcome welcome.  Good luck with researching and planning.  Its good that you are taking your time with it.  I believe in doing it right the first time too.  Why make it harder than it has to be eh?  Happy hunting!

What a wonderful welcome! Thank you so much!

in answer to Wishstar: we are both american. I am of Welsh/Irish decent though...Does that count for something? ::) My great granparents on both sides moved here long ago.

I guess the reason for the move is that we are over the USA. I lived in Italy for about 2 1/2 years and really wanted to come back to Europe to stay. Now I can! I can truly do without the politics of our nation!

I do want to do it right the 1st time. Making a move to another country is somewhat frightening, but we know that we will be so much happier.

You'll probably see both me and Lisa on here more often. I'm dying to get over there!

A bit late but ...welcome Ozz!  ;D

Glad you found this site prior to the move as it should make things a bit less stressful, I would hope!  :P

Best wishes to you and yours!
