Doing it for the second time !(UK-USA)
« on: February 28, 2004, 03:58:08 PM »
Hi Everyone,

Thanks to Ms Mars Bar for directing me here.......

I am the Brit, hubby the USC, married in the US in 96, came back to UK in 98, now we are going back again, so the whole process begins again...... ( this is the LAST time!) ::)

The last "INS" process was horrendous, things seem to be much improved this time and I am delighted to find people here in exactly the same boat ( Thanks also to Mr J Murray for his help!)and I look forward to getting to know you and following your progress.

I have to just say, some of you take the time to post some really in depth answers about your experience and that is enormously valuable to the rest of us. (Thank you).

Going back to Connecticut, starting all over again, little bit scared, but mostly grateful for chance to start anew and hope we can share some of the journey together.

Best Wishes

S.

Welcome!  Pond jumping is not much fun is it?  Hope your next move is a bit less traumatic!  And hope to get to know you better so you can tell me all about it....we'll be moving back at some point too.  :)

Welcome to the site New-Dawn. Most everyone here has had to deal with the dreaded INS at one time or another so there is a treasure trove of personal experiences to pick through. :)

Hi  :)

Thank you all for such a wonderfully warm welcome! I have been spending some time reading old posts and feel like I actually *know* some of you now.

These are my first "baby steps"  for now, we hope to start the process in a few mths time ( we have just suffered a tremendously painful loss to our family this week, my beautiful dog) and she is the reason we stayed in the UK as long as we did.

So,do bear with me as I come on and then disappear for a while as I get used to this new direction again. (and ignore me if I ask the same thing twice..........valium is sometimes a marvellous thing!)

I know you have probably all posted about where you'll be going and I will keep reading, but anyone going to be New England bound?

Thanks again guys - look forward to sharing this one with you all :)

Warmly

Sheril.
