Julie & Julia - loved it.  Want to see it again due to the audience falling over themselves any time Meryl did anything, which caused much of the following dialogue to be missed.  >:(

The Damned United - really liked it a lot, but sad to think it's not likely to do too well here in the States.

The Cove - 2nd viewing, I realized it's not nearly as graphic as my imagination made it out to be the first time when I'd covered my eyes (and it's only in one brief section).  I love this film. :)

The Time Traveller's Wife was pretty good.  I wasn't that big of a fan of the book, and I am glad they left out the really bad bits (IMO,
Spoiler: show
the 9/11 stuff, the having sex with himself and having his dad catch him, the overdone punk references
.  They did, however, leave out something that I really thought made the book
Spoiler: show
the bit where she waits to see him as an old woman.
My husband really liked both the book and the film.  At least I didn't feel like we wasted our money or our Orange Wednesday.

Saw Sherlock Holmes last night. I really enjoyed it, though other half was dubious. He wanted more of a traditional Sherlock Holmes...I just put a mindset on that it was a victorian romp and went with it. Robert Downey is always watchable in my humble opinion, no matter what he does.

The other bit that ruined it was the females in it. Don't know who cast them but they were pants.  The film didnt really need them anyway; it was more a lovestory about the two men.  :P

I really enjoyed Avatar, its the simple of film with a subject matter I care about like District 9 (another great film of the year) but also action"ie" enough that a wide audience will enjoy it

Saw New Moon yesterday with my hubby (yeah, he rocks - he only rolled his eyes twice!) and I can highly recommend Robert Pattinson. Mmmm hmmm.  :P Actually, it definitely wasn't the best film ever, but it was much better than the first one, at least. And, uh, like I said, the scenery certainly helped.  ;)

I saw "It's Complicated" last night and I really enjoyed it/recommend it.  It made me feel sympathetic to Alec Baldwin's character, and that is a first for me.

I watched quite a few movies the past week or so...

1. Avatar - I really liked it even if 2.5 hours long
2. The Proposal - yes I watched it again my mom had not seen it - love it
3. All about Steve - cute & funny
4. The Gamer - I liked it but I am sure it helped that Gerard Butler was in it

Just saw this and we both liked it!  DH found it a bit funny they made up a whole new story when they had the original ones to choose from, but he still enjoyed it overall.  Downey Jr. was great!
