working in the UK
« on: November 30, 2005, 06:20:50 PM »
Hi all,

Becky here and hopefully i just missed the part of the forum where you probably have discussed this and for that I will apologize in advance. Heres my question, After I have received my spousal visa and we are settled in the UK does that give me permission to work or do I have to wait a time period and fill out more forms? Also, if we are granted the spousal visa does this give me authorization to put my daughter into school immediately?

thanks,
becky

Hi Becky... Yes, you can start work as soon as you have your spousal visa. There is no sort of waiting period. Once you're here on your spousal visa you can legally look for work. :)

Sorry, I don't know anything about school stuff...

And yes, you can put your daughter in school straight away.
