Last night we had snow AND thunder & lightning... Thundersnow! (it's a thing)

I don't think I've ever experienced it before.

I’ve only seen that once before in Tulsa, it was late afternoon and quite a shock. Snowing like crazy then everything was lit up(cool effect) and BOOM. Went on for several hours.

Thundersnow is my favourite!!! We usually had a few storms with it every winter in Buffalo. Lightning and snow are beautiful.

I heard that folk were phoning the police because it was so loud it sounded like explosions!

Hope everyone is weathering the storm ok?

Wet and windy here but nothing too scary yet, thank goodness.

The hot tub company asked us to lower the gazebo tonight. Hoping everything doesn’t blow away overnight!  Not supposed to start here until about 9pm

We are having a proper winter for a change!  Even better because I don't have to leave the house and scrape the car all down and drive in it.
The chickens, on the other hand, hate 'weather'. They're certainly getting their fair share of snow, wind, rain, cold this winter!
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

I keep seeing videos of the weather elsewhere and being sad we have nothing but rain down here! Hoping for a snow storm!

Just a dusting here and the hills look beautiful..... on a side note......live on the end of a cul de sac with a public pathway that heads into a forested area..... loving the fact that every time it snows or icy the counsel comes along and clears the sidewalks on my side of the street..... I look across the street...their sidewalk still snow covered....my sidewalk....nice and cleared and sanded and salted..... ;D
