Yup, you're definitely from the South!   ;D  When I was a child, my family went to Arkansas to visit my grandparents, and at a restaurant there, a waitress asked me for my drink order.  I said, "Coke, please."  She said, "What kind?"  I was eight and that was so confusing!  I mean, I specifically said Coke!  I didn't understand why she was now asking for more information.

We asked our mp to request a refund of the priority money week before last and I just got an email from UKVI saying I will be refunded 573.00£ of it.

If I'm honest, I did too at first!  In my own case it's because I have only seen one fountain drinks dispenser since I moved to the UK (when we went to the terrible Five Guys in Cambridge a few years ago), so it wasn't first thing to come to my mind.
Subway also has a fountain drink machine and Nando's. Plus they both have the good ice machines.
