I looked in my Asda and they don't have it. All the Tescos near me are smaller ones. Have checked there too.
Did you ask in Asda?-- only because I had a very hard time finding it the first couple of times. I see you are in manchester....you can always come on down to crewe to get some -- or meet me at Costco one day for a huge bag of their pancake mix, which you just add water to :)

My Asda is always packed, since a ton of students in the area. I always forget to look or buy something when I go there.
I'd love to check out Costco, take it your a member there? Isn't it near the Trafford center? Haven't been there yet.

Yes, I am a member and it is near Trafford Center-- next time we head up that way, I will send a message and see if you are available to meet there.

Wow thanks, that's so nice of you. Would love to go there. How far from Manchester are you? Just wondering.

I looked at Asda and I only thing I found was shake and pour pancake mix, but the picture showed crepes so I didn't buy it.

check online on what store will deliver to you
@ http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/ it might give you a bigger selection for a store that is larger near you that delivers.

I know my large Tesco carrys things I cant find when I am there but online I can - like frozen soy beans ;-)

Like with the local farmers thread I wanted to start a thread for people to post where to find ethnic foods they miss and crave.  I will start off by doing the Mexican ones I have found thus far.  Again try to include homepage, address or phone number if you can.

If you have a new store to add to a list someone already had made for a certain type of food pm me and I will modify the existing post.

Taste of Texas has all of your gourmet salsa, seasonings, hot sauce and dips.  Go to www.tasteoftexas.co.uk.  You can also find all of your basic groceries at www.statesidecandy.co.uk just tell them Taste of Texas introduced you in their comments box.  Enjoy

I'm sure this must've been mentioned before, but I just picked up two cans of black beans at my neighbourhood Indian/Asian supermarket. They're TRS brand and cost me a whopping 69p each. :) I know Tesco stock the dried black beans, but sometimes it's nice to have tinned ones in the cupboard for the sake of speed.

I buy Sainsbury organic black beans they are in the cardboard boxes not actual tins and they are good!

Found bona fide BBQ sauce from Kansas City today, right here in Leeds!  Okay it was at Harvey Nics, so it wasn't cheap but still.  ;D

They also had some Cool Chile stuff (without having to mail order it).

And of course, the ubiquitous £7.50 box of Lucky Charms - but I passed that one by, as I don't think they're that magically delicious.

My Waitrose, here in London has always stocked canned black beans.  I think the brand is Epicure.
