Appeal process
« on: March 24, 2006, 09:21:55 PM »
Does anybody know how the appeal process works and how long it takes?

I intend to apply for the Unmarried Partner Visa and would like to know how it works, just in case...

And do we have to send our passports with the appeal documents (non-EU & EU passports)?

Thanks!

Your passports will be sent with the application, so they will be kept by the HO throughout the procedure.  The sponsor can send a certified copy of they want to.

Look at www.ait.gov.uk for detail of the procedure.  The length of time for an in country appeal I think is about 6 months, but this varies.

Any more questions, let me know.
