We got my ILR
« on: April 28, 2008, 05:50:09 PM »
We just got back we got my ILR and the people at solihul were really nice.

The lady we talked to loved the file as it ment she could see what papers we had and said yes thats fine,  it also made it easier for us to just grab the paper work we needed to hand to her.

They took Bank statements 1 for 2006 and 1 for 2007/8 Water rates and 1 for 2008 and a couple of ones in seperate names x2 for each of us.

Looked at Sonyas self employment stuff NI contributions and work bank statements and tax office paper work for self employment and divorce papers and death certif.

But it is a very long day.

Indy and Sonya
I hope we get better weather with the new year I am getting rained out.

Good luck to everyone with respective visa applications.

Did you think you did a bit of overkill on the paperwork, or are you glad you did all that leg work?

Thankyou everyone, Sonya looks like 10 years have dropped off and the dark circles went lol, and yes we are glad we took the amount we did it really helped as the lady had a choice of things which she said really helped her, over all the appointment went really well the lady was great really nice she asked me if I enjoyed living here and I said yes as I am with Sonya and the boys, and we talked about her children also, and she made us feel totally at ease, the only complaint is the chairs where chained to the floor which ment I could not get to the counter well and the one chair sort of ended up on its side in a weird postion.

They did not look at any personal statements (bank) at all they wanted to see sonyas self emploment stuff tax and NI contributions and that was it we pointed out we had savings and she just said I don't need to see that you have enough money coming in and thats fine we were really surprised.

We saw Nik there with her baby she is tiny and very pretty and very asleep.
