Casual work & ILR
« on: June 12, 2008, 10:19:08 AM »
I have a question...

Occassionally over the two years I've been here I've worked as a casual worker for Ede & Ravenscroft (the graduate gown makers) as a person who dresses graduates in their robes. My husband's granddad is one of the people who manages the people who do robing and I've always worked for him.

It's only been a few days in Oct/November 2006, July 2007, and possibly coming up in the next few months. I've received payment as cash in hand but they do have my NI number and pay the tax on that money I earn.

My question is, should I mention this work in a covering letter (especially if I don't have a regular job by then) and get my husband's granddad to write a letter stating that I have worked for the company?
