Eloping and obtaining a Spouse visa..

I will just be visiting this time around, and get married in the US when we're ready. 

I have looked into BUNAC, and am trying to arrange an internship through them, the trouble is that I would have to arrange the position myself before applying through BUNAC...And it seems I would have to pay a program fee of $750, in addition to the cost of the visa.  Why do they charge such a high program fee when (it seems like) they don't really do much for you?

That's a fair question. 

BUNAC is the sole enabling vehicle through which an American can enjoy T5, so they can charge whatever they want. 

It used to be cheap and easy, or relatively so, before the changes.  I am hoping Bunac is still finding its feet in the new T5 world.

Make sure you avail yourself of as many of their services as possible to get your money's worth!
