Price for 1899 has gone up to a pence per minute.. :-(.. Ohh well still better than all the rest.
I've been using 1899 for a couple months and the connection fee has always been 3p, maybe it was 2p a number of months back?
Bummer about raising the price, but it's only 1/2p more, not too bad.

I also noticed they dropped the UK mobile rate on weekends to 3p/minute, or has it always been that cheap?

0845 numbers are 3p/minute and 0870 numbers are 7p/minute.  All other UK landlines are free.

Can you use the Loco cards from the post office to call from cell phones? My boyfriend and I were trying to figure it out but we couldn't. He always has to use his house phone. The card though is quite the deal I always thought. We get around 5 hours for 5 pounds. And he's calling my cell phone. Thats an awful lot better than the 20 minutes I get for 5 dollars to call his cell phone. Anyway Thanks!

Ash
