another fiancee visa question
« on: November 24, 2006, 04:29:30 PM »
Just realized I posted this before I was done asking questions.
Has anyone applied for fiancee visa in person with partner?
If he's there with me in person, would I still need to bring loads of pictures proving we've met in person, emails, etc......?
I would think if you're applying in person they wouldn't be as scrutinous.
Going to apply in LA. Anyone applied in person there lately?
One more q. Does anyone know of a hotel that's close to the British consulate?
Thanks everyone!!!!!!!
This board is wonderful!

If you are applying in person then you wouldn't need to prove that you have met, but you might want to bring a couple of time dated photos or letters from friends proving the length of the relationship.  It is not going to be essential if there are no prior immigration complications.

Also, you obviously won't need to bring a certified copy of his passport, as he will be able to bring the original.  It is, however, a good idea to bring a normal photocopy of the details page, just to save them the hassle.
