Judgements and ILR
« on: March 06, 2010, 10:59:35 PM »
I run a credit check on myself periodically for the States.  I am applying for my SET M ILR this year.  I was surprisedto find that there is a debt that  a judgement was entered for in the USA after I left. Will this affect my ILR?  I am going to contact them this week and try and get it resolved however if I am not able to resolve it prior to applying for ILR could it affect me being approved?  Freaking out now.  FYI  never let a family member set up anything in your name.

Not as far as I am aware.  If you don't get it taken care of it might affect you when you apply for citizenship.
