I'm really, really sorry Nan. Hopefully it will turn out to be a lovely evening, just with fewer people and lots of leftovers.  But honestly, I'm so sad for your daughter that it's happened like this so far.

I’m so sorry Nan.  I would love to pretend like this isn’t common but sadly it is.   :-\\\\. I thoughts Scots were better about not flaking though.

Yeah, I would have thought that. Somewhat humorously, the one guest she does have is one that didn't respond to the RSVP at all.  ::)

Sorry Nan! Hope more show up. Rudeness is apparently a thing everywhere these days. I had 75 RSVPs to my wedding and 25 showed. And that was in America!  :P

Yeah, thanks. It meant a lot to her. People just don't think.

8:00pm and not any additions, don't know if anyone else has texted her or not. I'm in the back with my now-empty plate, so I think I'll cruise up to the kitchen and check in.

That is awful Nan! I'm sorry they all canceled like that. I wish I was in your cosy home right now taking in all the wonderful thanksgiving smells and cosiness of the Xmas tree in progress. I hope you have a really wonderful dinner with your daughter and the one friend who did turn up. And I guess you'll have some incredible leftovers this week!

Also, I was talking to myself through the entire practical test mentally, mirror signal manoeuvre, and constantly be seen checking mirrors. I didn't have to do any backing into spots, I had to pull over on the right and back up two lengths. The morning of I practiced backing in and parallel parking a couple times just so the reference points were fresh in my mind. Drive cautiously and aware of your surroundings and you will be ok! If there's a stop sign leaving the test center be sure to stop at it ;) (apparently that gets people at the one in Reading, it's at the end of their driveway and not stopping is a fail.)

Ok, three more have shown up and the Daughter is microwaving plates of food for them. So four guests all together, which is a good number.

The coffee is reeeeallly good.  ;D

Yesss! Did your wren come back?  :D

Hehe  Probanly not the same one, and it is staying outside.  From the bed, we have a lovely view outside, and we get a large variety of feathered friends.  :)

Oo I’m the first one today!!

1. I feel a bit jolly we had our team Christmas meal last night and I’m going on a surprise trip with my friends tomorrow in celebration of my 30th.

2. Hate my job, but feeling really grateful for said friends above that I have made. Their the type you keep around

3. Elf on the shelf is killing me this year- nearly got caught not moving it last night.

4. MIL decided this week she was coming up for Christmas and wants to cook! Trying to work up the courage to say no.. I’ll do the cooking in my house lol

5. It’s Friday and we finish half hour early at work on fridays, and tonight we’re having a board game night so really looking forward to that.

Think mine we’re all positive today =) maybe I’m getting in the Christmas mood

FRIDAY!  FRIDAY!  FRIDAY!

1.  Major drama in the family (inlaws) with Christmas this year.  Other grown adults making really inconsiderate choices, which my husband pointed out and now he's the bad guy.   ::)  I'm super proud of him saying something though.  I can't believe they have taken it badly.   :-\\\\

2.  Crazy week ahead with the 4 year old's school.  Today is a Christmas Fair, two days of Christmas plays next week, and then a parents craft afternoon.  And we don't have final dates/times yet as we don't know what we've been allocated....   ::)  It's not like I have a week full of meetings next week, right?

3.  LOVING my gin advent calendar.  I'm starting to worry about how much I love it.  I can't believe it's already 25% done!  I really look forward to going home, opening the door, and making my G&T for the night.   ;D

4.  I'm doing very good with Christmas shopping this year.  I'm well ahead of the game.

5.  We are supposed to be getting the last of the Christmas lights up tomorrow on the house.  We have lights on our house this year and I'm loving it!!   ;D
