I was supposed to leaving for Belfast next monday, but was notified shortly before christmas that my work permit was delayed for want of additional information.  So I have no idea when I will be leaving...GRRR.  anyway, I was wondering if when i finally do recieve my work permit if it is possible for me apply in person at a British Consulate in Canada?  I am in Buffalo and therefore within 2 hours or so of Toronto, and it would save me a lot if time if possible.

Thanks

Unfortunately, this would only be possible if you had Canadian residency.

actually looking in the british embasst site it would be possible, but it appears that unfortunately visas are only issued at the consulate in ottawa...a 6 hour drive away (without the shopping of toronto!).  so it appears i will be venturing to NY or will be fedex-ing my stuff there...  :(

Would you send me the link?  If they have something wrong, they are usually grateful to know about it.
