@bisousdarling I am so relieved to hear they asked you for additional information! I realized my fiancé and I left out a bit of info they may want & am hoping they have the good common sense to email us for it, too.
Fingers crossed for everyone!

More materials to prove my relationship with my husband. We didn't want to include too much to overwhelm them and I thought initially that I sent enough, but recently thought that perhaps that I did not. Turns out that I did not send enough. I'm getting additional materials emailed to them tonight.

Send what you think is the right amount but I would also say in the email that you have plenty more that you can provide if that is not enough.

Our marriage certificate, all of our flight details from every time we met up, some Skype logs (I probably could have sent more) and about 5-6 photos. I probably didn't include enough communication between the two of us. I plan on doing that now and I will definitely let them know that I have more that I can send, larrabee!

Ah ok. Yeah I'd also recommend phone call logs, text messages, and e-mails. The more the better, really, especially now that they've specifically requested it.

Good luck!

We don't have texts since we've never lived in the same place and we've never really called on the actual phone. I posted this in the non priority thread, but I have more intense skype logs, screenshots from every month of our whatsapp conversations over the last 2.5 years, FB messenger chats from the last 2.5 years, our whatsapp call log (when Skype is being a turd, we use whatsapp to call) from the last 2.5 years, and I have a screenshot of our emails (which are few and far between). We don't send a lot of cards and things, I think I have one from him, so digital communication is the best stuff we have. I don't plan on overwhelming the ECO, but sending enough to make it blatantly clear that we have indeed been together since 2015 and have been in constant communication since then.

BethOllie- Since we also both got the mysterious New York emails on the tenth (AND both had our applications sitting unattended for two weeks) I wouldn't be surprised if we had the same officer in charge of them. What time (and timezone) did your email come through?
Yeah perhaps you're right. Was at precisely 10:50am London time

Priority fiancé visa from USA
Received in Sheffield with e-mail confirmation 31 Jan
14 BD so far . . .

This is my 5th visa to the UK since 2011 and by far the most comprehensive and confusing application process. I feel like I've just done a PhD in our personal history.

We are planning a wedding in June (already have venue, church, dress, invites, etc), but it's difficult to know how far to go in booking things without a visa in hand. We don't want to end up having to cancel our plans and losing the cost of the wedding. :-\\\\

Anyone else in this place? What are you doing?

We recommend not booking anything until the visa is in hand.

But you should have plenty of time to make it happen, so long as everything required was provided.   :D

Thank you, and my heart goes out to you on your recent decision. I hope you're able to get something sorted soon. I think if we fail this we'll buy a boat and live in the middle of the ocean. Although someones probably put borders on that too by now.
