There is only one form.

Vicky

Vicky, Perhaps I am not phrasing my question correctly.  I am not certain what to select in the drop down for type of application (on the visa4uk site) when applying for my daughter's visa.  I am listing the questions from that site below.  The last one, is what I am confused about.

The questions are:
Current location: United States

State: Texas

Country of Nationality: United States

Purpose of Application: Settlement

Type of Application: (Not sure what option below to select for daughter's visa)
Husband
Wife
Unmarried Partner
Marriage
Proposed Civil Partnership
Civil Partnership
Child or Other Dependant of Settled Person
Returning Resident

Oh.  Right.  Okay.

You probably want the only one that mentions 'child'.

Well, it's the only one that actually applies to her :).

She is not a husband, wife or unmarried partner, she is not engaged to a British citizen (marriage), she is not in a gay relationship (proposed civil partnership/civil partnership) and she is not a returning resident... so by process of elimination, the only category that she is eligible for is 'Child or Other Dependant of Settled Person' :).

I have another question...if I have travel receipts printed from on-line and phone bills printed from on-line, as evidence of our relationship, should I have those notarized?  I was leaning towards not, only b/c I don't believe it is required to get the emails or other electronic messaging notarized, if using as proof of relationship.

Very true! [smiley=blush.gif]  Seems like a very silly question now!  It didn't when I posted it...lol!

Hehe, I think that's prolly a bit common, to ask questions which at the time seem confusing but then seem really obvious. It's just being nervous, I know I'll be all knotted up when I fill mine out, I'm terrified of getting something wrong, even if the question is somewhat obvious :)

If you have a document, such as a passport or marriage certificate, and you don't want to supply the original, then you go to a notary or a solicitor, get them to look at the original and take a copy or look at the one you have provided, and then certify or notarise the copy as a true copy.

Things like downloads of statements, bills etc can't be notorised or certified, as there is nothing 'original' to certify them as copies of.
