hey, congrats on the visa! Is it a 2-year spousal visa, or Indefinite Leave to Enter?  If it's only for 2 years you'll want to enter the UK within 28 days of the visa start date so that you don't have problems with ILR later on.

If you've got ILE then you can basically enter whenever you want...there'll probably be a "use-by" date on it though.

Now a triple citizen!

Student visa 9/06-->Int'l Grad Scheme 1/08-->FLR(M) 7/08-->ILR 6/10-->British citizenship 12/12

If it says Indefinite Leave to Enter, the expiry date is probably when your passport expires, I would imagine.

Are you wanting to come to the UK before 30/04/07?  If yes, then have a look at this thread.

If you intend to settle and pursue permanent residency without any problems, the latest you can enter is 27/05/07. If you enter after that date you will have to pay another 395GBP by post or 595GBP in person in order to extend your leave long enough to be eligible to apply for permanent residency.

That would be the case if he was coming on FLR, but he was granted ILE.  I'll let the experts weigh in, but I *think* you just need to enter before the expiry of your passport.  Most countries like to see a minimum of six months left on a passport which means you should try to enter before 30/10/08.  Again, I'm not sure, so if I'm not correct in this, I'm sure someone will come along and clarify. :)

You should enter within three months to avoid any complications on entry.
