Fiancee Visa and Further education
« on: July 13, 2006, 01:57:02 PM »
*My apologies in advance  if I should have posted this elsewhere!*

I'm here in the UK on my fiancee visa (which is good until the end of Dec. and our civil ceremony is scheduled for Oct.) As far as I understand I am not allowed to work but I wasn't sure about taking a class?

I want to take an evening class from a local college or university (you know, the one night a week for 2 hours sort of thing) but am not certain if that might in some way jeopardize my visa status or somehow be breaking a  rule?

(note, I have just earned my bachelors degree in East Asian Studies and Fine Art and don't know if the gov't might see this as some attempt on my part to become a full-time student here? Which certainly isn't my intention.)

Again, I am sorry if I posted this in the wrong area, but I hope I haven't! ;D :D
Thanks! :)

It is the right area, and yes, you can study whilst on a fiancee visa.
