House prices are generally cheaper up north we are cleverer than them southerners and wont overpay for anything ) .  Cheshire is considered the garden of England so is quite nice have a look round Nantwich lovely little town with some nice housing on the outskirts.  If you do come up this way and want guided tour just let me know.

Thanks so much Zap. I have heard how beautiful Cheshire is and it was one of those "God, looking at these prices, I hope nothing's wrong with the area"--almost too good to be true if you know what I mean. Thank goodness that is not the case, ) We will definitely be checking out the area.

well anything you find interesting local let me know and I will get some info for you.  As a general rule though the bigger the town the nearer the outskirts are the nicer areas.
