Christmas sadness - gravy dillema
« on: December 19, 2018, 02:11:07 PM »
So my sweet mother asked what we wanted for Christmas. I told her to send me some Pioneer gravy mix! It's easy and so good and we did have it for Christmas!

Just got off the phone with her and she thinks she sent me pancake mix by mistake.  :\\\'(

So now I'm thinking of making my own sausage gravy. Does anyone have a good recipe?

I'm making fried potatoes with onions, peppers and eggs and want gravy with it. (the mix she is sending can be used to make buttermilk biscuits too)   ;D

I haven't tried it, but this recipe looks pretty good, and even has a link to a simple homemade sausage if you can't find the right kind over here: https://selfproclaimedfoodie.com/country-sausage-gravy/

Or track down that bas that stole our Pass The Parcel because there was a packet of sausage gravy mix in there.

I make my own sausage gravy by adding heavy cream to my homemade sausage crumbles.

:\\\'(  I still can't believe he stole it. Baffling! I'll try the heavy cream 👍

This one isn't bad.

I'm not sure I'd use that much flour, but, then again, I haven't made this precise recipe before so it might be needed. Be sure to sift the flour in so you don't get lumps of flour.
