Last night I made a pork roast and stuffing cause my stuffing was no good on Thanksgiving.  It was excellent, and so was the leftover sandwich today.

Tesco has new stock of canned Pumpkin, so I'm making pie tonight

Yay pork!  Yesterday, I slow-cooked a pork shoulder.  When it was done, I shredded some of it and drizzled barbecue sauce on, then caramelized it in the microwave.  I prepared coleslaw in the morning and let it steep all day in the 'fridge so it would be ready with the pork... so we had pulled barbecue pork with coleslaw, buttered sweetcorn (with a sprinkling of a cajun spice blend I make), and mashed potatoes.  It was like a summer barbecue in December.  And now we have leftover pork!

A Little Debbie Christmas tree cake

The local grocery store gave me a free Little Debbie Christmas Tree Shaped Cake last week as they had a BOGOF promo. It’s was the first time in my 49 years I’ve ever had one. My mother never allowed me or my sister to eat treats like that as kids so I was pretty happy to get a forbidden freebie.

I didn’t know where to spit it out. It wasn’t very nice at all! You can have all the Little Debbie treats phatbeetle. Be my guest!

I am sure I would find it really gross and fake after not having one in a long time and I don't really eat sweet things (prefer savoury) , but I'm jonsin at the moment.

I had Taco Bell yesterday and I’m having real Mexican today. Oh my gosh I’ve gone to heaven lol  but I don’t think I could eat Taco Bell on the regular.

I meant to post this before Christmas - I made (dairy free) copycat Little Debbie Christmas Tree cakes and they were the business!! They tasted like the cakes, except better and not so artificial! I normally hate baking, but this was a fun project!

I really don't want to be overly critical, but what is up with that picture?  Is it upside down?  Are you in Australia or something?

Fried chicken
I've not been able to find good fried chicken here. What is up with that?

I now buy chicken skins and fry them up as a snack. Fortunately, Stuart says they taste like "dusty snake skins" (like how would he know?) and I don't have to share.
