AV, you don't have to put something local in, that was just a suggestion. You can put whatever you like.  :)
If it helps, just wait until the box gets to you then you'll see what kind of things are in it already and it might make choosing what to put in yourself a bit easier.    That's what I did!  ;D

That sounds like a great idea.

I wish KFDancer were after me. I could put in baby stuff. And glitter. :P

And glitter. :P

Thank heavens Larabee didn't put in glitter.

I actually won't be getting the parcel in the mail tomorrow.  It'll be on Tuesday.  Whoopsies.

Confession: As a child, I would get a little thrill of excitement if I found an errant speck of leftover glitter from some long-forgotten craft/decoration.
Super Confession:  As an adult, I still get that little thrill of excitement when I find an errant speck of leftover glitter.  I genuinely do not hate glitter.

Having said that, if I found specks of glitter in the pieces I was finishing for that desk build last week, I would have been really really angry.  The random hairs (my head sheds constantly.... it's a wonder I'm not bald) were bad enough.

Girl, I was a dancer for a million years and am ALL ABOUT THE SPARKLE.  Sequins, crystals, glitter, I'm not picky.  ;)  My super-expensive wallpaper in my lounge has ground up minerals in it that make it sparkle.

We love playing with glitter - OUTSIDE.   ;D

I wasn't even aware that I did it until a friend asked me to say it again because she thought it was funny (cute?), but every time I'd see something that sparkled, I'd squeal "Sparklies!" and clap my hands excitedly.  It turns out I am a girl.  Not a very mature one.  :P

You have to get old. Fact of Nature.
But you do NOT have to grow up.   ;D

I'm not a girly girl but I do love sparkle.  Same with my daughter.  She doesn't give a damn about princesses but LOVES something sparkly.

Agreed, Nan. Growing up is for boring people.  ;)

There must be a word for us non-girly sparkle-lovers.

This reminds me of a song by one of my favourite artists (). There's a really good version I can't access because of region blocks where he's playing to a class of proper children and they are singing along and it's adorable and makes me happy.

Well!  That's a message I can get on board with.  :)

I saw my first magpie after moving to the UK, and for some reason I found them hilarious.  My husband thought I was weird for laughing at them.  But they are inherently funny birds.

I rarely used to see a magpie but in the last year or two, a bunch of them have moved in. It's not unusual to see 8 or more of them all at once, playing in the garden!  ;D
