The one on the right is the photo from when she was first arrested I think. Her actual mugshot is the left one. Didn't they make micheal jackson take his makeup off when they brought him in?

Yes I know it says that's the mugshot but I doubt it really is. I'd want to see it from a more relaible source than a celeb gossip page.    I don't know what they did to MJ.

She's most likely that done up with make up and great hair because she was at the MTV movie awards earlier that day.

What's a "pay jail"?

I guess you can pay your room and board to be put into a different jail. There was a gossip report that was talking about when Zsa Zsa Gabor went to jail for slapping the cop, she paid $85 a day to be housed in a different jail that was "nicer" and more private.

I think they are usually small town jails where there aren't many inmates, and you could conceivably have a bit more  to do, like (supervised) community service projects outside of the jail facility during the day.

You're right about that. They're essentially doing day by day updates so far. Apparently she's complaining of boredom and fears the other inmates. Oh, and she got cold so they gave her extra blankets, and she joked about being in better shape when she gets out.

Will we have another waif-thin Kate Moss on our hands?

I'm not surprised in the least. I didn't even think she would be in for one day much less two or three. I'm sure the whole thing was a publicity stunt to say "Hey, I'm a responsible human being". Please, I guess it's who you are or who you know.

I guess wearing underwear traumatized her or something - or maybe she needed her extensions tightened again.

Apparently it was for undisclosed medical reasons and now she is on house arrest for the remaining 40 days of her sentence.  Poor baby.  Having to stay in at Casa Hilton.  I feel so sorry for her. 

Medical reasons my ars*.  This type of sh!t really pisses me off.  Because she is rich and famous she gets special treatment.  They can say til they're blue in the face that it's not, but it's b*llocks.  We had a guy in the jail I worked at who was in for a misdemeanor (I think it was shoplifting or possession or something).  He was also in the end stages of AIDS.  He weighed less than 100 lbs and doctors felt he had less than 6 months.  His lawyer had letters from the medical staff stating that and petitioned for an early release, so he could be in hospice care; in jail he could not have a DNR order.  He was refused and died while incarcerated.  There are cases like that among "regular people" everyday, and people like Paris get off practically scot-free.  Sorry for the rant, but it makes my blood boil!!!
