The Globe
« on: June 08, 2007, 03:19:10 PM »
I went to The Globe last night for the first time, to see 'The Merchant of Venice' and it was just amazing.  The performance was outstanding, and the setting just outstanding...it really could have been Elizabethan times, the place has been restored so well. It is also a very informal environment, so lots more fun than 'normal' theatre.

Best bit - only a fiver!!!  :o :o :o Where else in London can you get 2 hrs 50 mins of top class entertainment for five quid!!!

I highly, highly recommend it.

Vicky

Yes, which surprised me.  I thought the five pound tickets were just for standing, but actually there are several rows of seat available too.

I went to the Globe a couple of times on £5 tix and there were no seats for that price, this was about 4 years ago so it must have changed. Anyway, even if you have to stand the whole time it's worth going!

It's worth it, but I don't know if I could do it :-\\\\  (I get really antsy standing that long)
