I got my ILR!!!
« on: April 23, 2009, 12:25:28 PM »
We sent out my Set(M) on 6 April and the postie just left me with my supporting documents and my passport with my Residence Permit tucked away neatly on page 19. I couldnt be happier and I feel like a HUGE weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
When I realised what I was signing for and knowing that it had only been 2 weeks since I sent it out, I thought for certain I was going to be on the next flight back to the US.
I just wanted to share with others that things do work out and its really worth it in the long run.
We sent in:
Our passports
Our certified, authorised, notorised marriage license
Our Birth Certificates
My KoL Certificate
11 Months of Bank Statements
5 weeks of Payslips from my main job
4 weeks of Payslips from my 2nd job
5 Months of Payslips from Husbands Job
2 Supporting Documents in our joint names
4 Supporting Documents in each of our individual names

I sent mine out the last week of March and I got mine back today too!

I sent too much paperwork ( some of the same that I sent from the spousal visa I know a bit cheeky hmm) and 4 sets of my own printed passport pictures just in case one wasn't good enough. All 4 passports, birth certificates, marriage certificate, Life in UK test results, bank and bill statement 1 for each year in country, doctor appointments letters, DVLA papers any thing to show address and our names. A bit overkill I would think but better safe than sorry I say.
