Tier 1 General approved -- in a day!!

Oh, my goodness!

I just received an e-mail stating that my "visa has been issued." Holy cow -- the NY Consulate just received my documents YESTERDAY morning!

Applied online - Sat 18 Apr
Biometrics - Tues 21 Apr
Shipped docs - Tues 21 Apr (overnight, FedEx priority)
E-mail confirmation rec'd - Wed 22 Apr
E-mail "visa issued" - Thur 23 Apr

We NYers really know how to move-move-move!

A HUGE "thanks" to all of you on this forum. After months of research and paws through your posts, I'm so happy to say I've been approved for the Tier 1 (Gen)! I could never have done it without your advice!

Congratulations!!! I had a similar experience w/ the NY consulate last month. I'm impressed that you passed under the new requirements. I thought I had it hard (pre-requirements) but now it's even MORE amazing to have gotten a Tier 1. Cheers!

Congratulations!!  And, good luck with the packing.  I am currently struggling with that myself.  I've been working on it for a week now and everyday I change my mind about bringing something or think of something else to add to the pile going with me.  I've already warned the boyfriend he will be lifting many heavy suitcases when he meets me at Heathrow.
