Can anyone tell me if the content or subject of the emails changes depending on the outcome of the visa?

For US applications processed in Sheffield (settlement visas). the email just says is that 'a decision has been made' and all the emails are exactly the same, regardless of whether the visa has been approved or refused.

However, for US applications processed New York (visitor, work and student visas), the email normally says whether the visa has been approved or refused.

For applications made in Brazil? I don't know, I'm afraid.

Ksand24, thank you. I was trying to find a tip about it. A girl told me that, on her situation, the subject changed (she was refused the first time and had success at the second) and that she found some pages with some theories about tips on the emails.

Hello, guys.

It's me again :)

About the old passports, are they really necessary? Even if they expired more than 14 years ago? Would they refusal the application because of of that?

Thanks, guys!!

The application asks you to include them or state where they are located now.  They won't refuse the application, so long as they believe they are not included for a genuine reason (not trying to be deceptive).

I thought you already applied though?

I have applied, yes.

The problem was that I answer the form saying it was in my possession, I took them with me for the application day, but the stupid guy at the consulate told me it wasn't necessary, so I didn't include. I have been thinking about this for ages, but I was afraid to ask you and get a bad answer :( There was only one trip on that passport, from when I was 15 years old. Any chance they would approve without it??

Thank you!!

This is one of those differences between applications in the US and other countries.  We don't have anyone review the application before we send it.  It's possible he ticked a box saying he had looked at the old passport and therefore it didn't need to be included.  Honestly, it's just not something we have experience with.  I wouldn't worry.

I wouldn't say he reviewed my application. It was just a quick look, to be honest. Anyway, I will curse him and his next generations if I get this refusal because of that.  :(

Thank you KFdancer!

Congratulations!

All the same stuff (mostly) as you had for your entry visa.  Just updated.

Have a look at the FLR(M) form and let us know if you have any questions.

Hello guys,

I have a question. When I applied for the fiancé visa, I sent a document that proves I didn't have any criminal records. Do I have to do the same for the marriage visa? The document was provided in Brazil and translated for a sworn translator there. I would have to do the same, but now finding a sworn translator in UK.

Thanks very much.
