Congrads Jaysocal, I am also a same-sex couple with my wife on disability and they sent us a decision made email and got the package sent back to us today with a refusal in it saying that we never met up in October/November even though we provided all documents, pictures, hotel receipts, rental car, and flight bookings and flight documents of both times we met up and got married. We met all other requirements that was listed on the paper.

so sorry to hear that. I believe you can file an appeal although I'm not sure about the details as how is the process works. Perhaps you should start a new thread to seek advise as to best way to approach your case.

Best of luck.

Hey there,

I saw that you said your passport photos were lost. My fiance and I just received the same email but we definitely included our passport photos.

Any thoughts? Did you actually lose them or were they just "lost"?

Thanks!
Kristen

I would just say send additional photos. There is a good chance that something that small would get misplaced, possibly still with the application hidden behind papers, but why take the chance? Better to be overly cautious rather than hoping that they are found.

Thanks, yes I sent new photos this morning right after I received their email, so hopefully no more mishaps!

Will update when we receive our next email!

Kristen

They apparently just lost them. I know for a fact that I provided them.  I just sent a new set and wrote my name on the back of the pictures the second time. Just in case they fell on the floor, or something, the first time and were unable to be identified.
Also they do not send a confirmation email when they receive the new photos. So its just  sit and wait game.

Good luck with the rest of the process!
