Tier 4 Visa: what all should I send?
« on: August 09, 2012, 10:26:17 PM »
So, my biometrics appointment is Monday.  I've got most everything I need, but I'm wondering if it is too much/not enough.  Should everything be folded or not?  Any particular order they prefer?  I'm really OCD about this stuff (I mean OCD as in really OCD, not the overused phrase) and it is causing me anxiety!

1. Visa application printed
2. Appendix 8 (Haven't done just yet)
3. Official copy of Transcript
4. CAS
5. Copy of traffic citation
6. Divorce certificate (I didn't know if I needed to send this, but I thought I should since it was a court order)
7. Two passport photos
8. Current and previous passport and copies
9. The biometrics receipt (when I get that)
10. Priority service receipt

Am I missing anything?  I've got my scholarship letter and loan letter, but I'm not sending that with it.  Do I just take it to Fed-ex and overnight it?  Sorry for all the questions.  Just making sure everything is right so I can get to Scotland!

4. CAS
6. Divorce certificate (I didn't know if I needed to send this, but I thought I should since it was a court order)

You don't need to send the CAS itself, you just enter the reference number on Appendix 8.

Unless you are applying for a fiance visa and are trying to prove that you are free to marry a UK citizen, there is no need to send your divorce certificate.

The documents you need to include are:

- Application form
- Appendix 8
- Biometrics appointment sheet
- Passports and passport photos
- Transcript
- Traffic citation
- Priority service receipt

Awesome.  Thanks!  Those two were the ones I wasn't sure about.

My traffic citation was a speeding ticket.  It isn't something that you MUST send, but I think it is encouraged to go ahead and send a copy with your application.
