I am now wishing I had submitted priority as well. But I also mailed everything on January 19, and while my tracking says it was signed for on Monday, I dont have any official 'received' email yet. I wont worry about that until Friday though.

Don't worry about it at anytime!  Not everyone receives the email.  So long as your tracking shows it arrived, it WILL be processed.   ;D

It's great to see the decision emails come pouring in. This is what usually happens at the tail end of a backlog! ;D

Congratulations all of you!   ;D

First off, thank you to all of you regulars who seem to be constant sources of info and those of you sharing your timelines. They are of tremendous help!

I, too, will be submitting my online spousal visa application in the coming days. I'm vacillating between whether to go priority or not. I will need to be in the States for around six weeks anyway while my dad undergoes a transplant, so it seems with the flexibility in our situation it makes sense to save the near $800 (priority service and shipping). That being said, I don't want to be stuck in the States through March.

After reading the prediction of trends and processing times, it appears all the more uncertain that this is in fact a good time to apply non-priority, especially considering that the majority who post on this site seem to do priority, never mind all the others who are also joining the priority queue.

What say you, if I may ask, does it seem non-priority will be done within 6-8 weeks?

Currently on 11 weeks for non-priority.  Unfortunately as they haven't cleared the Christmas backlog yet, it's just hard to know.  This time last year, non-priority was being processed in about 2-3 days (priority same day).  As it's February in a few days and you want to be in the UK by the end of March, I would recommend priority.  Yet at the same time, UKVI tends to not honor travel dates and you only have 30 days to enter the UK from the date the visa is issued.  It's tough!  Only you can decide.

As this site is primarily used by Americans, unfortunately the timeline data here won't be comparable to yours.  I hope you get your decision soon!

I've been lurking around for a while and thought I'd post!

My fiancé submitted her application Monday 23rd and we paid for priority. It's a little disheartening to hear that people are waiting so long!

I'm hoping like made that they speed up a little!

Wait, Waqas, you haven't heard anything but you've received your documents back yet?

Is this because we're applying from different countries?  I'm a little confused.
Spouse Visa:
Received by Sheffield 19 Nov 2016
Decision Made 26 Jan 2017
Visa Received 30 Jan 2017
Arrived in UK 15 Feb 2017
FLR (M) Biometrics 16 Sep 2019
FLR (M) Approved 17 Sep 2019 (Super Priority)

Yes, Waqas has applied from Pakistan which is a completely different process to the US.  They apply in person, but send the documents to Sheffield, the documents are then returned to the SPONSOR INSIDE THE UK, and the decision returned to the visa processing center.  So, an entirely different process.

Tracking isnmt giving any infor yet so maybe UPS still hasn't scanned it. Will keep everyone updated- you're all in my thoughts!
