An interesting appointment list: from July 2005, all of the Entry Clearance units in the U.S. will be headed up by women. Two of these, those for NY and Chicago, are MBE's. Additionally, the Chicago ECM will hold the rank of British Vice Consul.
All of the 8 ECM's and ECO's to be posted to the U.S. in July (with the exception of the previously mentioned Chicago ECM) will hold the rank of Vice Consul.
