My incredibly stupid Visa screw up
« on: November 19, 2008, 11:10:03 PM »
Last month I sent in my application, went all the way from Ar. to Memphis for my biometrics. Then began the wait.

I got one email from the consulate in L.A. saying they had received my paperwork. This was on 11/3
Today UPS delivered all my papers back to me . Enclosed was a note informing me that I had "applied for the wrong type of Visa and now I have to do the whole thing over again"
. Including the biometrics appt.

I could just scream! I already have my ticket to go to England Dec. 13th.

I was supposed to apply for a "work permit dependent " visa
somehow ,it ending up being a "settlement " visa I applied for.

I just submitted a new application ,online. But I still don't know if it is done right.
The category before "dependent" I checked "employment"
(because my husband is there on the work visa)
Does anyone know if that was the right thing to check? Please let me know!

                                     Thanks, Lena

Thank you! I don't know what I'd do if I was wrong again :)
