1)For the Consent for the home office to verify the application document:
I signed part 1, but not clear if I need my spouse to sign part 2( consent for the home office to verify third party info) and part 3: Consent for the home office to verify information from third party sponsor). I had my husband sign for last two just in case, but not sure.
I wasn’t aware that form was part of the citizenship application, since there is no sponsor for citizenship, plus you would not normally include any joint bills or bank statements for citizenship anyway.
If it is part of the application though:
- you sign part 1
- your spouse signs part 2
- no one signs part 3 as no third party sponsors are involved (third party would be someone other than the applicant or sponsor who is providing financial support (but there is no financial support needed for citizenship) and is named on bills or bank statements that you are including)
2) it is very confusing that the document checklist asks me to check the box for proof of living in the UK for 5 years if applying in own right or 3 years if applying as the spouse ( Do I need to provide more mail?)
No, your passport and BRP card are your proof of living in the UK for the last 3 years.
3) also, do I need to upload the check list online?
No.
