Turnaround time on standard SET(M) visa?
« on: March 27, 2022, 11:55:15 AM »
Anyone know how long settlement visas are taking at present?  My husband has completed his 2x 2.5 year spousal visas and is now ready to apply to stay permanently.  We could spring for the £500 for the expedited appointment but is it really necessary?  If it’s going to take 6 months I think yes, if 6 weeks then no.  Our application should be straightforward. We’ve changed address since his last visa was processed but that’s about it. Ta.

It takes 6 months.

Priority is £800 and hit and miss at the moment. Many applications have had priority cancelled as an option in the last couple of weeks to give priority to Ukrainian refugee applications.

There is a chance you may get lucky with a priority spot if you log in right at midnight and are willing to travel.

I actually fear that application times will grow in processing times (possibly exceeding 6 months) due to the large influx of applications.

Quick update, we decided to pay for priority processing.  The  priority option wasn’t available after midnight last night, but was at 8am this morning, so anyone who tries at midnight and doesn’t see that option might want to try again later, rather than waiting for midnight to roll around again.  The IT quality analyst in me suspects the system may not have adjusted for British Summertime and maybe priority slots are releasing at 1am😁. His appointment is April 25.
