UK Spouse Visa - Immigration History
« on: April 10, 2022, 06:16:44 PM »
Hi all,

Can someone please help me understand what is the relevance/importance of immigration history in a spouse visa application?

My wife has had the following visas:
- 2021: Standard Visitor Visa - stayed 5 months in total.
- 2022: Marriage Visitor Visa - stayed approx. 4.5 months in total.

She did not overstay on any visa.

Just wanted to sense check if we needed to address anything here? On all applications, I have been noted as the boyfriend/fiance/husband.

Thanks!

Nothing to worry about and nothing to address, as she had permission for both of those trips and did not overstay .

All she needs to do is list the dates of the trips on the application and put the reason for travel.

Would the fact that, on the marriage visitor visa, we stated she would stay until March 28th 2022 (2 months stay - it was granted 1 Jan 2022), and now am planning to leave 28th May 2022?

The reason is our plans changed… we wanted to have a second wedding with my family (they’re abroad), however some members decided if wasn’t the right time to travel.

Thank you.
