ILR Set(M) Post Requirement
« on: September 21, 2022, 07:48:59 PM »
You would think that having done this twice now everything would be a breeze, but here I am.

My query is fairly straightforward.

My current BRP is valid till March 2023, however this Friday marks my 28 days prior to the anniversary of arriving in the UK 5 years ago and for many reasons (primarily being 8 months pregnant and wanting to just get it sorted) I will be submitting my application and evidence hopefully in the next few weeks.

We have been collecting post since my last visa HOWEVER we did not take into account the post overlap that would happen between my last visa and this one by applying for ILR prior to my FLR(M) visa expiring - I think I also just assumed the post requirement would be prorated haha

2.5 year's worth of post, would mean ideally my first piece would be from around March 2020 - as a fluke I have something for June 2020, but the next piece earlier than that is October 2019.

My assumption is that that will be fine and that my cover letter where I explain my lost BRP and electronic tenancy agreement I'll just add a line about the post and call it done, is that correct?

I'm mostly looking for reassurance  ;D

Check what the form actually says. The paper form used to ask for mail "since your last grant of leave to remain", which is usually 2.5 years but in your case would be shorter.
But yes, as long as you explain anything  that needs an explanation, you'll be fine.

Thank you!
There is just something about visa that really get you in your head.

That said, this is the first time we've managed to stay on top of paper bank statements and keeping the full thing and not just the pages with our address and line showing employment payment, so overall I feel like I'm winning.
