Hopefully someone is able to assist with my query, as I haven’t been able to find any similar scenarios in the records.
I will be eligible to file for ILR in a few months. In the interim, my husband who is a settled resident, has filed for his citizenship and hopefully should get it by my application date.
The question is- do I now qualify to apply for citizenship immediately after ILR, since my husband will by then be a citizen? Or do I have to wait for 12 months because he wasn’t a citizen when we got married?
Note, when me got married he had ILR.
Also, our son was born in New York, US and at the time my husband had ILR. Does that make our son eligible for British Citizenship?
