I will be applying for mine and my son’s ILR in January. We haven’t been able to renew his passport since he’s a minor we have to A: book an appointment at the US embassy (which is a long waiting list) and B: travel to London for it which isn’t exactly a hop skip and a jump for us. Does he need a valid passport for the ILR, or is it ok if only mine and my husband’s (sponsor) passports are valid?
Also, as far as child maintenance goes in regards to the financial requirement, my son’s biological father pays it when I need some extra money for clothes or clubs for our son, we don’t have a court order for that, so do I provide screenshots of us agreeing to it monthly and write in my cover letter which payment into my bank account is from him, as it’s not clear on the statements what that amount is from?
