Its been awhile, preparing for my final visa, price questions!
« on: November 01, 2022, 11:36:31 AM »
Hello! Well, I am finally preparing for the last of four visas! I am on my final marriage visa and I am wondering if any fees have gone up since I last checked in! I last understood the final visa is £2400   I also understand there is a sitting fee for the "Living in Brittan" test I am preparing for ( I have the books already). If anyone knows if the fees have gone up or if there is a plan for them to please let me know! Also are there any other documents needed for this last visa? I would love a refresher on what is needed to bring. My last visa is due in June but I am trying to financially prepare in this rough climate right now as well as the documents I need! Thank you so much!!!

The fee for ILR is £2404.

The fee for the Life in the UK test is £50.

If you want to pay for Super Priority processing for a decision within 24 hours, it's £800.

The ILR fee has only increased once in the last few years. It was £1389 from 6th April 2018 to 5th April 2022, and then increased by £15 to £2404 on 6th April 2022. We're not sure if it will increase again in 2023, but if it does, it will likely happen in early April (beginning of the new financial year).

- The documents required for ILR are all the same as for FLR(M), but you also need your Life in the UK test reference number.

- If you are using cash savings to meet the financial requirement, a lower amount is needed (£34,600 instead of £62,500), but otherwise all the financial requirements are the same as for FLR(M).

- There's no IHS surcharge for ILR, as once you have the visa, you will be entitled to NHS care and UK benefits in the same way as UK citizens.

One other fee is the fee for biometrics.  Can be anywhere between free (rare) or about £240. That is a separate fee to priority processing or the application fee.
