Travel near to time of application?
« on: November 29, 2022, 09:42:44 PM »
Hi All-

Will be applying for ILR in February and was hoping to take a quick few days over to Paris in January for a break. Is there any reason I should not travel out of the country this close before my visa application? Obviously, my actual FLR visa does not expire for a few months after February. Just don't want to make any mistakes.

Thanks

NWKH

No, there’s no issue with travelling before applying for ILR.

The only time it could be an issue is if you travel right before the visa expiry date… because there either might not be enough time to apply for the next visa before it expires, or you might get stuck abroad with your visa expiring before you can return.
