ILR Financial Requirement Question / Maternity Leave
« on: January 23, 2023, 04:14:45 PM »
Hi all,

I am hoping to get some advice on bank statements and payslips to include with my upcoming ILR application as I am currently on maternity leave and not fully understanding the guidance on this.

I began my maternity leave on 7th March 2022 and will be returning on 6th March 2023. I am planning to apply at the beginning of June 2023, so will have been back at work for a few months.

The guidance states that the 6 months covered can be either the date of application or the date of commencement of the maternity leave. Does this mean that I would not include the months I was on maternity leave at all, even if my maternity pay was above the threshold in some months?

Also, would I include March, April & May 2023 payslips from when I return from mat leave? The case study in the guidance is a similar example and suggests that they would just look at the 6 months prior to maternity leave?

I have all payslips and bank statements so not an issue of having what I need, just want to make sure I am including the right ones as I get everything organised.

I think the answer is probably quite simple and I am overthinking it, but any advice / experience would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!
