IRL - Post Items and Employment Letter

It's nearly that time... looking to make my IRL application within the next few weeks.  Please would you mind casting your expert eyes over my proposed list of items of post and employment letter?

My most recent payday would be 25th November, so I'll need to apply within 28 days from then.  I've collated the following items of post:

* Nov 2023: Mobile phone bill in husband's name, HSBC advice of transfer of funds in my name

*June 2023: Jointly addressed water bill

*Jan 2023: Letter from doctor’s surgery in husband's name (not from NHS,) statement from PNC bank (regarding my US student loan) in my name.  (I used some PNC bank stuff on my FLR app and it was OK.)

*Aug 2022: HSBC advice of funds transfer in my name.  I don't have anything in my husband's name from Aug 2022, but do have his HSBC credit card statement from July, with a message on it about going paperless in August.  He switched back to paper but the paper Aug statement was missed in the meantime.  Hopefully this won't be an issue.  I remember my FLR app had a few post items like this, from different months, and it was OK.

*March 2022: Joint council tax statement

*Oct 2021: Letter from NHS for husband, letter from NHS for me

*May 2021: BT internet bill in husband's name, statement from PNC bank in my name



And I have drafted the following letter for my COO to sign at work:

Private and Confidential
** December 2023

Dear Sir or Madam,
Re: Employment of (my name)

This letter is to confirm the employment of (my name) with (workplace)

(My name) is currently employed by (workplace) as (job title)

(My name) started employment on ** March 2019 and remains employed by (workplace.)  Her contract is for full-time, permanent employment.
Her salary for the past two and a half years is as follows:

•   Salary as of 1st May 2021 was £19,000 per annum
•   Salary as of 1st November 2021 was £19,880 per annum
•   Salary as of 1st November 2022 was £25,000 per annum
•   Salary as of 1st November 2023 is £26,250 per annum

I refer to the following enclosed pay slips and can confirm they are true and accurate:
•   25/04/2023, net pay £1667.09
•   25/05/2023, net pay £1667.09
•   23/06/2023, net pay £1667.09
•   22/07/2023, net pay £1667.09
•   25/08/2023, net pay £3027.09 (annual bonus included)
•   25/9/2023, net pay £1733.66
•   25/10/2023, net pay £1733.66
•   25/11/2023, net pay £1733.66

I copied the letter my husband's employer used for my FLR app.  I am using only my salary this time for the financial requirement.  Hopefully this all looks ok?  Welcome any advice, and thank you all so much. :)

Just to note that the 28-day count starts from the payslip issue date printed on the payslip, which may or may not be the same date as when you actually get paid.

These all look good,. Post from slightly different months is okay, but you will need to include a letter of explanation for why you are sending mail for your husband from July 2022 instead of August 2022.

For the employer letter, you can condense the details of your job role and salary a little, because since you have been earning more than £18,600 for at least 6 months, you only need to include your salaries earned in the last 6 months, so you can take out the first 2 salaries as they are not relevant to the application.

Also, the important payslip amount is the GROSS pay, not the net pay, as the pre-tax income is the amount they use to determine if you meet the requirement or not (which must be £1550 before tax each month). The payslip details should include: payslip date, pay period (if applicable), gross pay, net pay, and date deposited into bank account.

Also, if any payslip date/amount is different from the bank deposit date/amount, an explanation for this is needed as well (i.e. my payslip issue dates are always the last day of the month, but my pay is deposited on the last WORKING day of the month, which is not always the last day of the month due to weekends/bank holidays).

So, you'll want the letter to read something more like:

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to confirm that [APPLICANT NAME] has been a full-time, permanent employee at [COMPANY NAME] since ** March 2019 in the position of [JOB TITLE]. [APPLICANT NAME] has been earning an annual salary of £26,750 since 1st November 2023. Prior to this, her annual salary was £25,000.

I confirm that the details of [APPLICANT'S] included payslips are as follows:

(I actually caught an error in my original letter too, about my salary changing from Nov, it was actually from Sept, so have corrected that as well.)
