Payslips question

Sorry for two posts in a row, but my partner and I were just discussing my ILR application as I’m set to make it in March 2024. We are having a baby next month so we want to know what we have to do. I always forget in between times! He works a hybrid job so we want to be sure to track everyone down in time.

With my partner’s payslips, do they need to be signed and dated by his employer or just be a payslip plus authentic bank statements?

Does his boss need to write his employer letter or HR? Or does it not matter?

You need all 3: employment letter, payslips and bank statements.

Most payslips have company name/PAYE Ref/etc on them and do not need to be countersigned, unless the payslip does not contain sufficient info where countersigning would help. Likewise for the employment letter. My company does not employment sign letters and a reference to a phone number was available if there were any questions.

- The letter can be written by either your boss or HR.

- The payslips do not need to be signed.

- If the payslips are original hard copies physically issued by the employer, you don’t need to do anything other than scan and upload them.

- If the payslips were issued electronically, each one must be verified in the employer letter (stating payslip date, pay period, gross pay, net pay, date deposited into bank account, plus an explanation for any discrepancies between payslip date/amount and the bank deposit date/amount).
