ILR - contract from employer
« on: December 13, 2023, 10:09:16 PM »
I will be applying for ILR in just over a year.

However, as of January, I will be starting in a new position with my current employer but the new contract I have been sent is quite sparse and completely omits any mention of what my new higher salary will be.

The first contract I received (for my current position) was much more extensive and did in fact state the salary.

I know that when applying for ILR I will definitely need to provide the letter from my employer that confirms my payslips, salary, start date etc along with the actual payslips and bank statements.

From what I can remember, including your employment contract is optional and not mandatory. As such, is it particularly important that I request a contact that does actually state the salary for my new position ?

It's certainly possible that I could receive a more detailed contract in the future, but if it's not all that important, I'm not going to bother chasing this up at the moment.

You're correct. You'll be providing evidence of your income anyway and the contract is not mandatory.  Even if it was, I don't see how they could dictate what the contents of the contract should be. I wouldn't worry about it.
